Líderes Congresos

The NCLR Líderes Initiative partners with local programs and organizations throughout the country to hold regional conferences-- NCLR Líderes Congresos-- designed to empower young Latinos. These gatherings offer young leaders an opportunity to learn new skills, network, collaborate, and develop as leaders. The Líderes Congreso is a vehicle that brings together more than 100 high school and college-age youth for mutual exchange and learning. Attendees are recruited from the Líderes Network - high schools, after-school programs and clubs,This discounted registration rate includes access to full NCLR Conference activities, as well as Líderes Summit events. Included in these activities are meals and evening social events. and college student organizations - to learn about and discuss issues affecting the Latino community, such as education, careers, and public policy. Congreso attendees are inspired and empowered, and they identify ways to increase their community involvement and become civically engaged. One of the most exciting aspects of the Líderes Congresos is that they feature peer-led workshops and guest speakers, including established community leaders and celebrities to inform and support the efforts of young Latinos. Finally, Congreso attendees have an opportunity to network, build relationships with peers and community leaders, explore career options, and learn how to maximize community impact.
