Dear Líderes Summit Participants!

Thank you for your participation in this year’s Conference! The event was a genuine success, and that was largely due to your enthusiastic participation in the program.

I would like to thank every group for their organizing and fundraising efforts—I hope that you found the Summit to be a memorable and worthwhile experience!

Thank you also to each of the chaperones that accompanied the groups—you are an integral part of the Líderes program, and your dedication is greatly appreciated!

So, Líderes members, we have much to share with you. We will be updating this Summit recap page with workshop presentation materials, contact information, event pictures and more. Please continue to check for updates.

Also, we want to hear from you! Please take a couple of moments to send us your feedback about your experience at the 08 Summit “La Voz Del Cambio.”

It is imperative for us to be able to share with our sponsors, partners, Affiliates, and NCLR colleagues just how important this event is, and to have your testimonials conveying the impact that the Summit has on your leadership development. Please send your comments to me at bbonilla@nclr.org.

Lastly, we want to encourage you in the momentum that you gained during the Summit. NCLR Escalera Program
Many of the youth that attended the Líderes Summit particiapte in the NCLR Escalera Program. Together with the PepsiCo Foundation, NCLR created and expanded the NCLR Escalera Program: Taking Steps to Success which promotes economic mobility for Latino youth by increasing educational attainment, career planning, and access to advanced careers. The program aligns with NCLR's goals to eliminate barriers to employment and economic mobility while increasing the capacity of NCLR Affiliates to provide effective workforce development, education, and leadership services for Latino youth. The intent of the NCLR Escalera Program is to design a program model that can be replicated by NCLR Affiliates throughout the country. Key components consist of career exploration, leadership development, personal development, and academic enrichment.
