AGUILA Youth Leadership Institute (AGUILA) is the result of twenty plus (20+) years of extensive evidence based research seeking to build a web of support through consistency and powerful messaging. Youth attend monthly seminars with a focus on meeting required timelines for the application process, scholarship applications and financial aid along with information that ensures preparation for the rigors of college life. AGUILA takes each participant through a journey of self discovery, career exploration, leadership development, cultural competence, communication skills, interpersonal relationships, conflict resolution, Chicano/a studies, decision making, and civic engagement.

These seminars are delivered by individuals who support the youth through the contribution of time and expertise. AGUILA Faculty are University and College Professors, staff and students along with various experts from organizations who have committed to building Latino Leadership in our youth. All presenters are carefully selected on the basis of expertise, delivery and commitment to the mission of AGUILA and most importantly, to the success of our Latino youth.
