The National Council of La Raza (NCLR) Annual Conference is the largest gathering of the Hispanic community, serving as the meeting ground for more than 20,000 community organization leaders, activists, and volunteers; elected and appointed officials; members of corporate, philanthropic, and academic communities; senior citizens; college students; and youth. This annual event provides a forum for thousands of people representing a variety of sectors to learn about ongoing and emerging issues in the Hispanic community and become familiar with issues, initiatives, programs, and other efforts making a positive impact in the lives of Latino families and recognizing the strength and power of the Hispanic community. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help at this event, July 12-15, in exchange for free tickets to Conference special events.

"Tu Pride" - MTV Tr3s documentary videos

MTV Tr3s needs unique Latinos for documentary image spots

-Do you or your friends show "Tu Pride" by being INVOLVED WITH your COMMUNITY?

MTV Tr3s is shooting documentary image spots about proud bi-cultural Latinos (people with a strong connection to both their American and Latin Heritage or culture) who were raised in the US. We're looking for real people doing real things within their community. In this important election year, MTV Tr3s is especially looking to hear how voting and political issues touch your life. What issues are important to you and your family? How are you involved in voting and getting your voice heard for the future? It can be anything from school leadership to community activism to how you're involved with the upcoming election. If you're politically involved in Latino culture or sub-culture, Tr3s wants to know about it! We're especially looking for those who appear to be in the age range of 15-25 and live in Chicago, Miami, Washington DC, Phoenix, Tucson, San Diego & Las Vegas.
