The Emma L. Bowen Foundation is currently recruiting high school students (juniors and seniors) and college freshman to work in PAID media internships starting Summer 2007 in the following US cities: Albany, NY; Atlanta, GA; Bala Cynwyd, PA; Baltimore, MD; Bethlehem, PA; Birmingham, AL; Boston, MA; Coatesville, PA; Cookeville, TN; High Point, NC; Maitland, FL; Miami, FL; Miramar, FL; Newark, NJ; New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Portland, ME; Stamford, CT; St. Petersburg, FL; and Washington, DC. Eligible candidates must have a 3.0 GPA, plan to attend or currently attend a 4-year college, and have an interest in media. Selected students will have an opportunity to work at one of our sponsoring media every summer throughout their college years. They will earn an hourly salary and matching scholarship dollars to help pay for college expenses.
The Emma L. Bowen Foundation’s mission is to help increase the number of minorities working in the media/communications industry. Since 1989, we have successfully placed hundreds of talented high school and college students at television, radio, and cable companies throughout the United States.
